The photo of the raccoon reaching for food SOOOOO reminds me of my dad feeding "Packy" (...a raccoon which he so named) that he hand-fed every night at 5 p.m. (like clockwork!) in the back yard of the lakeside home where I grew up.

Mike Pass is on the money.
By and large we do not do that 'God' thing over here. The people who do, tend to keep it in their own confines. Although born and raised a left footer (Catholic) I tend to agree and people who sign off "may your God be with you" or similar ('His' etc) should really keep it to themselves. Belief is very much a personal thing over here so never tell anyone to respect someone elses 'take' on things.
We have had years of wars and bombings and people residing in the H blocks in Crumlin and Magilligan Point, and even dying on hunger strikes covered in their own
excrement (shit) - because of trying to push their religious viewpoint.
Religion ? Not really and no thank you.
PS I could have replied on this thread in one line, with much stronger words but and I'm trying to be polite. Christmas is approaching and I don't want to wind up all you Godbotherers over there.

I ,for one, thank you for putting up this post. Keep them coming, for it shows what a wonderful world we live in, at present, which was created in some way or another.

I have no religion, but believe in everything, for NONE of us are likely to ever know what goes on in the greater scheme of things. We are here, it is there, and it is all mind boggling.

There is always one or two who have to sound off and spoil a perfectly innocently phrased sentence, which, and I have read it over a hundred times, does not mention the "G" word.

Season of good will to you and yours, regardless of race, religion or creed.

You are very welcome. I was delighted to know you enjoyed the nature images as much as I do.

First it was that clever writing, with the "G" word used, that was accused of being a religious recruiting weapon.

That was so, even though both pros and cons were afforded the same amount of descriptive text (actually, it was all the same exact words). It even suggested that readers decide for themselves.

Now, the "H" word was used along with beautiful nature photography and was immediately accused of being another similar treacherous scheme to poison the minds of the viewers.

Wonder what would happen if I was so daring and determined to force people to think differently that I invoked the gaud awful "S" word (Santa Clause), or worse yet, the "MN" word (Mother Nature)?

Scary, huh!
