Pedal box: Work of art

Thanks for the compliments, James, Jim et all.

Jim, the story about the color of the garage is more mundane than you might think. Before the car came home I painted my son study in the color he chose, kind of a green moss shade... So, as I did fine painting the room, and there was some paint left over, I decided to go ahead and use it to paint the garage. Then the car came... and so the story goes.

The car is finished and running, but still some details to get it as I would like (never is going to be perfect for me, I guess) and getting to the details takes time, more than expected, as everyone who has restored or build a car knows.
In my case, with the car in the US and me part time here, part time in Spain and with a lot of traveling (ready for the Revival next week!), getting things done takes more time than for most folks.
Dennis Olthoff and myself have tried to organize the transport to his premisses so many times, but we have not found the right moment to match our agendas.

Anyway, as the thread title reads, the pedal box is a work of art, and I am looking forward to get it into the car to replace the factory one as soon as I can.

And now for a change, some pictures attached of the jack support that I built to lift the front of the car. Maybe someone out there is looking for ideas to do something similar to lift the car. Don´t look any further, this one works!

JP, where did you get the big torque wrench for the knockoffs? That is very cool. I like the car lifter as well, but my car doesn't have the jacking hooks at the front. Although I do have a set left over from the Kirkham, but they are aluminum, and I don't know if they'd work.

I wish the glass work on mine was as nice as yours. SPF build a very nice car. Wish they'd been around about twelve years ago.

Does this mean I have to paint my garage red inside? Just kidding.

Jim,

There are 2 tools on that picture. One, is the torque wrench which I got at a very good price form one of those tool suppliers (northern tools, Harbor freight...) I do not remember exactly which one it was, as I spent some time looking and looking, getting confused until I found what I wanted at a reasonable price (if you need it I can investigate and find it out for you)

The other tool there, affixed to the torque wrench, is a german made tool to do and undo the spinners. I got it from a member of the forum, Tom, from S-performance and it really makes a difference. Not cheap but worth the price.
Just let me know if you need more pictures or his contact details.

And yes. Go ahead and paint your garage in a shade of red that matches the one in your car. That´s the way to go, and the minimum standard for GT 40 owners from now own!
