For those running the G50 gearbox, which/whose clutches do you like (or dislike)?

push/pull type?

organic/metallic/ceramic/kevlar linings?

full face, puck, single disc or multi?

conventional slave & fork, or hydraulic release bearing?

Hey John,

How's life? things are taking shape over here on the Lola

I think it depends on whether the box came with all fork parts and stuff. mine didn;t so went with a hydraulic push bearing, and a 3 plate organic "Superclutch" item. seems the buisness at 184mm still streetable at le-mans traffic.

Cheers Thomas; BTW what did you decide to power the Lola with?

chevy LS1 as planned after I found out the 1uz didn't fit.

btw I still have the Laminova intercooler manifold for the 1uz lying around. I might be tempted to SC the LS one day..... if the car ever gets finnished and I'd be able to then pay the ever growing amount of taxes you need to pay over here in europe on a car with a decent engine....

i have a very small flywheel on it, with the three plate on to of that, with a ring gear on top of that, and a high torque starter motor with a small adapter for the G50 box. this is a set that GD sells for their cars.

I know of at least one T70 with 625 RWHP 800+nm torque which can be floored in every gear on toyo R888 tyres whitout any trouble.
this clutch is very very strong. not cheap but did I mention strong? :)
