Hello, I am Serge from the South West of France. I have a GT40 built by Franco Sbarro. The chassis is very close to an original and the brakes, shock absorbers, dashboard etc. come from John Wyer's stock. I found this car in completely disassembled parts. I did a restoration over 5 years and I try to make it as close as possible to an original but it remains a replica. I also have an Alfa Romeo Giulia GT 2000, a Yamaha XS1100 and a Honda CBX 1000/6. I apologize for using a translator because unfortunately I do not understand English.
Hey, Serge! Your Franco Sbarro GT40 is a dream, especially the way you brought it back from a disassembled state over five years, trying to make it as close to the original as possible with John Wyer parts. I restored an old Cobra replica myself, and I know that feeling when every scratch or chip in the fresh paint after reassembly is incredibly annoying – especially on a red body, where everything is visible. When I got to the final touches on the paintwork, the small defects from the tools almost drove me crazy.
touch up direct saved the day: perfect color matching, convenient applicators – I touched up everything precisely, without repainting the panels. Now the car looks like new, and I can enjoy the stress-free driving. Good luck with your seat and transmission modifications – we're waiting for photos from Castellet, they'll be fantastic!
