Question

How many GT40's were made using clear plastic hinges on the little window opening on the door windows before they switched over to aluminum? Does anyone make these?
Anyone interested in having these clear plastic hinges made? The little clamp to hold the flap window open was clear plastic also with the slotted piece and clamping knob made out of aluminum.

I have something similar on my DAX

The clamp things are knurled brass and the "bolt" section has rough edges to hold it in the perspex - it don't work -even tried superglue to hold it in place but it always seems to work lose - fixed it 3 times in 200 miles

Perhaps you have a better way of holding the other end or the adjuster bolt?

To see what I was talking about ; Thanks to Bill Musarra, there is some nice pictures of these clear plastic hinges shown in the link he posted in the post by axo07 in the ( need to know post ). That's the first window that I've seen turn into the car and not out. The original door window I have turns out.
