I think Fran has indicated in the past that there is not enough room for a 12 in the P4.

He told me that his RCR p4 chassis would accept BMW or Jag V12s without any problems.

now for the dirty, bad thought: would it fit in a 40 ??

Instead of the Lycoming, why don't they just put in a Rolls-Royce Merlin?
It might present several size issue's, but it (P4) wouldn't get beat down the Mulsanne straight. Thanks!
