RCR "Super Car"

crashed movie car that should never have been sold ...the studio is not happy about this.

Nothing to do with us and I cannot provide any repair parts for this machine, due to business agreements with the studio..

It needs a lot of work

That car is a mess indeed.... Fiberglass, when not totally demolished, springs back pretty well to its original molded shape. You can only imagine how much damage there is under that skin..

A lot of work...To say the least!
Cant decide whats more ridiculous - the car or the price tag!!

Looks like the guy parts out cars on ebay - hummers and such. In most states if you part out cars as a business you have to be a registered auto recycler....and that registration can be lost by selling on totalled cars as fixers.

I would guess it was sold to him (or somebody else upstream) as a "parts car only" but it now being presented as a fixable driver.

Movie studios (and the constructors) don't want liability created by way of old props being sold on, so they have strict policies about what happens to stuff like this. Often, these things are built for a specific movie scene and are not made for road use, so those policies are good and there for a reason.
