Anyone who was bult an RCR40, what brand / part number did you use? Did you secure the lap and should belts to the same anchor point or did you loop the shoulder belts around the lower bar on the roll hoop?
Shoulder belt properly looped at the roll bar. Lap belt is up pull-up type! The belt system can be upgraded with a crotch belt, however, the RCR seats did not come with the opening for it and I did not want to cut them. All for a street-legal car.... https://www.schroth.com/en/racing/street-legal/details/show/profi-ii-fe-asm-2/ is pretty close
Schroth also has detailed instructions on how (and how not) to mount the belts!!! Sabelt also have these instructions...
Whatever you do, please don't use the installed anchors for the lap belts. They are in entirely the wrong place and will likely do more harm than good if ever you need them.

Chris, thank you for you input but I don't want to open up a can of worms on the proper installation of belts. There are already threads on the forum that cover this topic.... Sadly with conflicting information. Also I will say that belts need to be fitting based on seat position and drivers body size / type. In the Formula Atlantic Swift cars there is 6" of lap belt anchor points to best fit a given driver. For me with a 30" waist I run the farthest point to the rear of the seat.
Anyway, I digress...
I just would like so setup info for those who have built cars to start me off in the right direction on belt specification, anchor type, and brand to avoid making a mistake in ordering the wrong equipment.
Hi Walter, with respect to Brandon, I won't go too far but yes, the threaded points which I have seen used are too far back and too high to properly locate the lap belt.

Brandon- Sounds like you have a good idea of what you want to do already, and I agree with what you're saying. I'm going to make an assumption that you have an RCR on order? You'll be able to work through this pretty quickly once you have hands on.
If you have a preferred belt supplier, I would recommend harness similar to the formula cars where you pull up to tighten, but can also tell you that pull up belts work too (that's what I have). Pick your preferred width and latch style and install as you prefer...

My RCR Deluxe kit came with these Williams:
(My shoulder belts go around the cross bar on my roll hoop and my lap belts are anchored through the floor. <<< DITTO)
