RCR40 GT40 MKI Build in Wisconsin

I can understand both Jeff's frustration and Fran's cynicism.
``Lead times and suppliers delays are part of this industry" - yes, of course, but of this magnitude?
I think our western society is seeing economic/industrial changes which could be the topic of a special forum in itself.

On the other hand, I've not experienced any undue delays in my orders of half shafts, clutches, wheels, etc. from the US ...
Best wishes to all of you!

Yep going 16 months on mine since ordered .Being a mechanical contractor I c the parts and materials fiasco every day.Fran isnt the only one having trouble getting parts. When I call my suppliers they just dont care, their response is you get it when you get it.Customer service has long been dead and covid just gave everyone a excuse to work less and just not care.I think the whole thing is close to collapsing. Good luck Fran and dont forget about me,im waiting patiently;)

I stopped by RCR last week and chatted with both Fran and Bill. It was clear to me that they are just as frustrated, if not more so than we are, by the constant battle with suppliers. They are making more and more parts in house to address the issues with the steering rack being the most recent example. Local labor is also really hard because the market is very competitive for anyone with a modicum of skill and interest. I have chosen not to get frustrated and to work on the things that I can while waiting.

Build update: Still waiting on clutch, shifter, AC among other things. Car ordered and 50% deposit made 587 days ago. Car paid for in full 170 days ago. Just hoping I live long enough for my widow to sell a complete kit to the next person.
