really HARD request for Ford fanatics(worldwide)

well my Friends,
me and some of my friends are getting crazy around a Ford.......truck.
We are planning a resin kit of a too wellknown ford light truck, the F 60 L used during the second world war almost everywhere.
I am searching for infos (mainly pictures) about engine, some says it had a Ford v8 mercury engine , instead the Chevrolet trucks use to have a 6v engine.
Any picture or draw will be really TOO appreciated.

I enclose a picture of the truck we are talking about

Paulo, I think they were made/assembled by both FORD and GM and designed so that it could have V8 Ford or 6 cylinder GM engines fitted. There was a lot of cooperation between manufacturers at that time.

yep..also I think so..but seems only Ford (different truck nose) had v8 engines.
The 2 trucks were really similar, but the f60l were the ones used by british troops to become a Portee truck for a/t tank gun.

in North Africa Italians use to stole theme and become "italians portee" (Italy never had such desertic trucks).

Ford F60L Portee

this is the Melbourne museum website where they have the ford I am searching for:)

The last one is the Chevrolet

It kinda reminded me of this below, but this is a Morris Commercial Quad C8 Gun & Ammo Limber Tug circa 1942 (gun is a 25 pdr)

Also known as the Matador. It certainly looks a lot like your truck.
