The Pot Party!

Your democrat majority senate voted against it with enough democrats to vote it down. The Dems don't even like it, if they had it would had passed.

Al is soooooo right, Jim. There's an election coming up, yah know. there's a lot of Dems facing election that see the internal polls. Its not looking good for them, so they didn't want their name tied to this disaster you call a bill.

See you in the "The Liberal Scourge Has Been Shown The Door" thread. Its commin' sooner than a lot of you Collectivist want!!!!

Bobbie,

Let me see if I understand how the Republicans work.

Only 22% of Americans are against the Presidents job bill, but 100% of Republicans voted against it. 100%!! Not one of those weasels did what they were sent to Washington to do, represent their constituents, NOT ONE did what their people wanted!

64% of the people feel that taxes should be raised on the wealthy, yet each and every Republican voted against raising the taxes on the wealthy. Not one of those weasels represented their constituents, not one. Instead, they ALL voted to screw the people in favor of Koch brothers and their fat cat donors.

The Republican congress has a 10% approval rating. The people can see what is going on and they will pay.

Bobbie, why are you against the people and in favor of the wealthy?

Politics is the ability to foretell what is going to happen tomorrow, next week, next month and next year and to have the ability afterwards to explain why it didn’t happen.”

- Winston Churchill

Sure as eggs is eggs at some point the Cons will get back the sun will shine, there will be full employment, less taxes, we will all be better off and happier than before. Oh, and there will be a lot of pigs flying around

what a great man! My favorite is;
Lady Astor:"If you were my husband I'd give you poison," Churchill: "If you were my wife, I'd drink it."

Jim, Jim, Jim. You are confused again. You are talking about the nation's disapproval of all of Congress. Now, since you like graphs and such, see what happens when you pit Dem vs. Rep!

That tells you that the public is in favor of Conservative efforts to stop throwing billions after the trillions that have already gone to cronyism, waste, and no improvement of the economy.

Throwing money at a problem is rarely any use unless it is supporting greater measures of change. So far I haven't heard any convincing strategies for fundamental change in how our illustrious leaders lead.

Giving more money to banks is clearly not resulting in those banks offering greater support for businesses.

Interesting you should say that Bob,

Churchill,

"Although he was a Conservative he never seemed to agree totaly
with their policies.

He criticized military spending and supported
free trade.

This soon resulted in a conflict with the Conservative leadership, who supported large
military budgets and protective tariffs.

In 1904 he "Crossed the floor of the House" to take a seat with the Liberal Party. With the Liberals Churchill won renown for the audacity of his attacks on Chamberlain and Balfour.

The radical elements in his political makeup came to the
surface under the influence of two colleagues in particular, John
Morley, a political legatee of W.E. Gladstone, and David Lloyd George,
the rising Welsh orator and firebrand."

So Bob when are you going to be a great man and cross the floor from the Cons to the Liberals. ;)

Mark so true.

A local firm closed with the loss of a lot of jobs, because they had a short term cash flow problem and the bank withdrew credit.

Now I know you only get one side of the story, but there are enough documented cases of this going on for me to believe it.

We bailed these banks out with tax payers money and as a taxpayer I would rather that money went to help business's in trouble than bank employess large bonuses.

Well, in those days, Ronald Reagan was a Liberal too. As he said and so many others echoed, "the Democratic Party left me."

Churchill didn't much like the Marx, and so much of the Liberal movement is heading in that direction.

FOX poll

Obama 42% approval rating

Republican Congress 10% approval rating

The people can tell where the problem lies, ask not for whom the bell tolls.......it tolls for you:)

Jim I'll bet that is the only thing published by Fox that you have ever believed:laugh:?

Its been recognized as the "MSNBCholm Syndrome" where viewers, held captive by Chris Mathews and Rachel Madcow, begin to feel that that they are being cared for by their captors. They know they need to escape but are terrified of retribution by their captors on them or their family.

That' why we've set up "The Pot Party" here on MSGT40S/Paddock as a safe harbor for these victims to recuperate and transition back to normal society!

Can I latch back to my question about the crushed spirit. Post # 116.

So , - many people are in tight times, even in Tucson . On the other hand there are a few guys doing quite well. Also unemployment is at 12% in some places. A rally to occupy San F seems to have attracted quite a few people.

Is there an example of one city or state were times are good ? Full employment with no empty houses, everybody has his/her own vehicle.

I know I can search for statistical graphs and all that, but to hear it from someone on the ground sounds more convincing.

Haven't seen Jim lately, hope he didn't take my suggestion to take his Forty to the SF Occupy and pass out his business cards.

Or, maybe news like the following has gotten him so depressed, he can't fire up the old computer!

"The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey of Likely U.S. Voters shows Cain attracting 43% support, while Obama earns 41%."
