This News is Depressing...

. The Dem's AND the Republicans can't control the exodus, they're locked into supporting the bloodsuckers by government mandate which was designed to help honest folks in need but now abused by the leeches, and nobody is willing to go in with a figurative flamethrower and eliminate the infestation.

The irony being that whoever did - would be a national hero.

Has no one any balls these days?

But Gentlemen, with respect, no self-respecting politician could be so harsh as to 'figuratively' cull the leeches in our societies. They are dumb enough to think the moron's actually vote and even dumber to think that they will vote for the them as their defenders!

Idiots leading idiots and the idiots in charge are left incharge by the rest of the poulation because? I suggest that it is because of places like the Paddock here at gtforty's, which a great example of thinking people, thinking and expressing their points of view. However, all the thinkers (the right and the left) or more accurately (and to demonstrate my point) the right and the wrong, just like to argue. Over and over and over and over and over...............

NOTHING EVER GETS DONE TO RESOLVE IT. Perhaps it will always be this way?

Good grief. We've only had these 'systems' and this kind of society for a mere moment in time, yet everyone talks as though it is Lore. Here forever, just because it was here yesterday. More effort and finance is thrown into supporting out-dated, out-moded infrastructures and 'systems' than was ever needed in the first place to build those 'systems' and no one seems to want to admit that sometimes, they are not worth supporting. Like continuing to use an axe to fell a tree, when you have a chainsaw. And for the sake of not hurting the feelings of the axe!

Screw the axe! Move on.

I doubt if there is a man alive today, that would even bother to discover the West. Noone would look up at the sky and ask "I wonder", then set about the business of getting up there.

We are the last of a generation that could be bothered, surrounded by a generation (that we created), who simply want it all in place as if handed down and placed in position by God Himself. Just for them.

Oh my lord. Listen to me! What an oppinionated little twat! Looks like it's going to be a good day in the office! LOL ;)

Unfortunately, Dom Deluise and Burt never got there. They stopped in east L.A. at a red light and were robbed, beaten and carjacked. The police, who, when seconds count are just minutes away, had to go to a disturbance instead which turned out to be Al Sharpton. Fictional, yes, but entirely possible.
The problem, as so eloquently stated by Keith, is that no one, indeed, has the "nuts" to wield the flamethrower. which in this case is the removal of subsidies and support for the leeches. But, hey, let's give illegals driver's licenses and in-state tuition rates (and free breakfast, lunch and dinner) for their multiple kids. They'll soon have great jobs and be paying into the system. That will surely turn things around. Uh Hunh.

Oh, shuddup Al before 'someone' calls you a "hater".

Remember: Truth teller = "hater" these days in the eyes of some...and they all 'knows' who 'they be'...

Well said Al. Detroit is the very definition of an ineptocracy.

BTW about 9.2billion of their 19billion of debt is unfunded pension obligations for public employees. Unions representing these employees have already filed suit to block Detroit's bankruptcy. Somehow, they actually believe that there's 9.2billion laying around out there in the city. Puzzling.......

Of course, 2 miles from me in the state of WI we learned what a joy it is to challenge public employee unions.

The unions, it seems to keep coming down to the unions. Once necessary, now out dated and not required. There are plenty of laws now in place to ensure workers don't get screwed. Unions are redundant like Marks axe, ban them all
I say.

Originally unions were made to help the worker, now they are King Makers who buy political influence for the good of the union, not the worker.

100% agree with you guys.

Unions are completely unnecessary in modern society. If they don't like the fact, why don't they go and set up shop in a third-world country that needs all those things we now take for granted.

I do not know how it is in the USA nowadays, but for restrictive practices in the 70's and '80's, just try setting up a display booth at a BillBoard NYC Convention/Exposition :stunned:

They're all pretty bad wherever in the world, but for me NYC took the main prize.

"You want a what exactly?"

"A LIGHT BULB to go with OUR socket?"

"Is that YOUR OWN light bulb you've put in OUR socket there?"

"EVERYONE - OUT! DOWN TOOLS - OUT!"
