...just as making that claim re: Carson didn't prove/verify/confirm diddley either.

This is the 1st I've heard about it. I'd have to Google it. 'Not really all that interested.

An opinion Larry. If you read the Wiki on him you might even agree as it isn't intellectually flattering, and the piece about the Pyramid is in there too...

Well, I could do some research but it wouldn't prove anything one way or another so I'll pass on that one...

How much grain do you reckon they could have stored in the Great Pyramid at Giza? Must have been an absolute shedload!

"He was introduced to folks from West Point by his ROTC supervisors," CAMPAIGN MANAGER BARRY BENNETT TOLD POLITICO in an email. "They told him they could help him get an appointment based on his grades and performance in ROTC. He considered it but in the end did not seek admission."

So, unless Carson himself actually said that...

If it actually happened as >MSN< (!MSN!) reported - then, IMHO, in that area, Carson's in the same league with those who've said things like ,"You can KEEP your doctor"..."You can KEEP your plan"..."There's not a SMIDGEON of corruption in the IRS"..."The NSA is NOT spying on the American people"..."Romney didn't pay his taxes"..."I dodged sniper fire in Bosnia"..."Benghazi was caused by a video"..."Chelsea was jogging near the Twin Towers on 9/11"..."I did NOT send/receive classified materials (etc.)"..."I did NOT have sexual relations with that woman"............and the people who SAID those things were elected to public office...more than once...were they not?

So, your POINT, counselor...IS/WAS...?

While we're parsing Mr. Carson's past with profanity (that if directed to the President would be described as racist - going further, even describing him as autistic), let's ponder Mr. Obama's imaginary white girlfriend that he referenced in his book, “Dreams from My Father.” I wonder if he has other imaginary friends.
Obama: 'New York girlfriend' was composite - POLITICO

Or better yet, let's ask Mrs. Clinton about her discussions with the deceased. In Bob Woodward’s book, "The Choice", he noted that she communed with former First Lady Eleanor Roosevelt and Indian leader Mahatma Gandhi from beyond the grave. Her husband also confirmed in a 2012 speech that you used to commune with Eleanor Roosevelt.
Can any of her supporters explain what you believe she learned from talking with the dead?

As president will Mrs. Clinton and her husband hold regular seances to determine national policy? After all, former first lady Nancy Reagan reportedly consulted an astrologer to determine the president's schedule.
I wonder if Mrs. Clinton had any conversation with former Ambassador Stevens since his untimely passing in Benghazi. Perhaps told him (as she told grieving family members) that a YouTube video caused his demise. I wonder if he brought up all those requests that were denied for additional security he sought before the attack that cost him his life.

But I guess “What difference at this point does it make!!!???”

But Carson is a conservative Veek, that gives people the right to lie about him. As a conservative he loses the right to be black. If you repeat a lie long enough it becomes the truth. Obama is living proof. You can stick a birth certificate out there with the name of a hospital that wasn't called that until years after his birth and people believe it. You withhold college records and you've attended any college that makes you look good. Obama is a ghost, nobody knows anything about him. And if you wait long enough, things like Benghazi, Ambassador Stevens and the Seals deaths don't matter any more. The "God Damn America" Jeremiah Wright doesn't matter anymore. Obama's Communist mentor Frank Marshall Davis doesn't matter any more, and on and on. The Democratic party is built on lies that the media either hides or broadcasts. CNN lies then retracts if caught, but by then the damage is done, the lie is out there. People don't remember the retraction, they remember the lie. All you need is a gullible, dumbed down electorate.

That does seem to be the conservative pathway to power, Al. How many conservatives have been elected by what is now a "...dumbed down electorate"?

Considering how the conservatives seem to hold a majority of elected political positions, there seems to be a good probability that the conservative majority is a result of a generally "...dumbed down electorate".

Just MHO, but statistically it makes sense.

BTW...I'm not a fan of Carson...he may be a "One trick pony"...a decent surgeon does not necessarily translate into a good politician.

I'm just sayin'.....

Cheers!!!

Dumbed down electorate did BO twice, community organizer/ assistant professor does not necessarily translate into a good politician. And a lying, conniving women does not necessarily translate into a good politician. I imagine before this is finished, the media will come up with something much worse than "One trick pony". Uncle Tom comes to mind, but Carson is a black conservative and that's not racist.

Agreed...absolutely no reason to insult Carson b/c of the color of his skin!

IMHO a community organizer must have political skills to be effective, so I DO see a connection for BO.

We'll agree to disagree about HC.

As for Carson...no way his surgical prowess has any bearing on his political abilities...total disconnect for me.

Conservatives in office now were all elected by the same global pool of voters as was BO, Al...the very same. Can't avoid that reality by pointing out your dissatisfaction with one of the individuals they elected if you want to give them credit for the individuals with whom you ARE satisfied.

At the risk of bringing up old demons...IMHO the global electorate made the right choice regarding Romney...he had absolutely no interest in anyone who was not in that upper 5% and the global electorate pegged that one correctly. The fact that anyone OTHER THAN the 5% voted for Romney is scant proof that the general electorate is more than dumbed down...they were downright STUPID to have voted for that poor excuse for a candidate.

Just MHO, though...YOMV and usually does.

Cheers!!

...and just LOOK at where the "political skills" Obama leaned as a "community ORGANIZER(?)" has put the nation: U.S. credit rating DOWNGRADED T-W-I-C-E (that had n-e-v-e-r happened even ONCE before)...longest/weakest econ recovery in the HISTORY of the country...record DEBT...record number of people on welfare...lowest labor participation rate since 1977...REAL unemployment rate of 10.6% (U-6 rate) that peaked at 17.1 percent in April 2010...race riots at home every 10 minutes...illegal alien epidemic/"dream Act" via exec order/amnesty/refusal to enforce immigration laws...EPA passing laws under the cover of "regulation"...destruction of the coal industry...unconstitutional NLRB appointments...illegally shortchanged bond holders in favor of Labor Unions in the G.M. bankruptcy & illegally CANCELLED private contracts...gutted the work requirement for welfare recipients w/o congressional approval...intervened militarily in Libya in 2011 without Congressional approval...illegal actions by the IRS and NSA...Obamacare shoved down our throats...illegal selective ENACTMENT of Obamacare provisions...D.o.J. sued Az. re: immigration laws that PARALLELED U.S law...Iran mess...Russia/Ukraine/Crimea mess...China mess...and that's just a PARTIAL list.

"..Romney...he had absolutely no interest in anyone who was not in that upper 5%...

Evidence? Proof? (...something more solid than your 'opinion'?)

The color of his skin is forgotten as a conservative, he's fair game for any slander, as for Obama and his job performance, what the world thinks of and perceives the US to be has greatly diminished in the past 7 years. And Romney, with his corporate ability, and track record as a governor would have done a great job. You got sucked in to the media BS, he is self made and remembers were he came from. He never pandered to the wealthy in Massachusetts, so the media did a good job, you believed the 5% garbage.

Al, I believe Gee-Dub had a far greater negative impact on the way the world views America than BO. G-D got us into shit we should never have gotten into and his incompetence was evident. BO, on the other hand, got us OUT of the shit G-W got us into and the world recognized that with a Nobel Peace Prize.

Romney, himself, ensured his own defeat with his comments about the 5%...it was noteworthy and the media did the right thing informing the American public about what might have been if he were elected, self-made or not. His disdain for anyone who was not in his "fat-cat" target group was plainly evident and rightfully ensured his defeat.

We really need to get it right in this next presidential election and elect a non-conservative (note, please, that I did not say "liberal") to run the country. The needs of everyone in the U.S. deserve to be important, not just the needs of the rich.

...and, Larry...we've heard all those issues ad nauseum...the only exception was that you omitted the specific "you can keep your current health plan and doctor"

There...I've added it for you, amigo. No need to thank me, just my own minor contribution to the cause

Cheers!

:laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh::laugh:

Doug, Doug, Doug...he was awarded that 'prize about 12 seconds after he was sworn in! HE HADN'T DONE A D-A-R-N-E-D thing to earn it but T-A-L-K at the DNC convention...and 'hasn't done a darned thing SINCE! EVEN HE was admittedly stunned/shocked/puzzled as to why he'd been awarded one. Besides, any impartial individual knows the N.P.P. is nothing but a popularity award bestowed upon those of the liberal persuasion 99% of the time...'kinda like 'grease' determines who wins the Motor Trend "Car of the YEAR" award.

Romney, himself, ensured his own defeat with his comments about the 5%...

Link? Reference? What did he supposedly SAY that was so 100% W-R-O-N-G in the eyes of the left/media?

'Real world' what you've just said is we NEED to elect another liberal. On the GOP side there are no true 'moderates' running.

...we've heard all those issues ad nauseum...the only exception was that you omitted the specific "you can keep your current health plan and doctor".

What part of "and that's just a PARTIAL list" did you miss?

Yeah, you've heard 'em all before...and you'll doubtless hear 'em countless MORE times. They're f-a-c-t-s that debunk the lefty spin that libs love to thrown out in all those areas.

We got into Iraq, which we shouldn't have, the war in Afghanistan should have been more air strikes and less ground troops. The total withdrawal from Iraq with no peacekeeping force was stupid. The Benghazi deaths with the "video" cover-up was stupid. The "red line" in Syria was stupid, the IRS scandal was stupid, not taking out ISIS when they were in the open was stupid, $8 trillion more in debt is stupid, following Putin around like a puppy dog is stupid. Not making Hillary responsible for classified emails is stupid and dangerous. There are pages that this inept president has done to harm the US. And you have to accept responsibility for the office of President and stop blaming the predecessor, no one else spent 7 years doing that. Too much time being "Mr Cool" on late night tv, White house celebrity parties, golf and fund raising. Someone with absolutely no military experience should not be telling the military what to do. Obama would last about 10 seconds in a military setting, hell he would have never made it through basic. And no he didn't get Osama all by himself, 10 years of intelligence work got Osama, Mickey Mouse could have been President and it still would have happened. Seal team 6 should have remained anonymous and 24 guys from 6 would still be alive, but you do have to grandstand.
Obama ignores generals on troop levels for unprecedented 6th time in Afghanistan, Iraq - Washington Times

There are pages like the above. He doesn't have a clue.
