Type of battery

What is the best type of battery for a SB302. 380HP. MSD/Webers ?
I have actually a 12V 72Ah 680A VARTA type but when engine is hot, it doesn't not always start the engine.

I use this one on my SB347 with fuel injection runnIng a Holley TERMINATOR.
No problems so far.....fingers crossed

Heat shield on starter? (Starter seizing)
Too much initial advance?
Float level too high, or fuel percolation?

Load test the battery. Check the current draw while cranking if good it's the starter or a connection !!
