What about a red car with yellow stripe(s)?

Jonathan
I can't seem to decide. Red looks so freakin awesome. I will have to decide soon, as the painter is about ready to shoot paint

Oh, BTW, Bill, I think red w/ yellow stripes would look nice, but I would recommend you consider adding thin black stripes at the red-yellow borders to improve contrast and set the colors off better.

Hi Bill

If you go to the Roaring Forties website they have a paint selector where you can choose red with yellow stripes to see what it looks like. Unfortunately you can't choose to make the wheels black.

Cheers

It will look like a Ferrati Bill.... how could you do this? I'm going to sit in a corner and have good cry! No, I think I'll have a beer!

I empathize with you bill. It's a tougher decision than whether or not to build a GT40....

Good ole fashioned white stripes stand out quite nice too... High color contrast and all.

I had someone change the white to yellow. I'm not too sure now

Mark, awesome pic. I've been thinking about dark blood red on a 40. The blacked-out headlights and notrils, etc. with the deep red is terrific.

Bill the yellow over-touch on that pic is a little on the neon side. You should keep checking on shades of yellow that would go with the deep red since that was your thinking.

Thanks Mark. I am planning to do a repaint next year (or two) and I'm thinking the blood red is the way to go too. I have a warm red now and while it looks nice, I also want something a bit different. Since the chassis is red and I don't want to do a full tear-down, keeping to a red seems like the smart (lazy) approach for me.

Good choice, Mark, that way, my choice of colour will be complimentary to yours... :)

Why not gold stripes with red, a la Alan Mann Racing?
