Guys,

Can anyone point me in a direction for a windshield in the USA. My roof is a copy of original. I tried Jay Cushman but he seems to be out of them.

Could not get in touch with Dan but the Factory 5 GTM is supposed to fit. Now that being said, I am having one picked up in a couple of weeks and trial fitted to my spider before it ships to me. I can let folks know the results. My body is being made by Bill Hough.

David, Could, would you please take several pictures and take us all through the fitment of the F5 windshield.. Do you know which Gt40 replicas or a real one for that matter, his spider and the associated body was modeled on/from? This could be very helpful information if there is a USA-based current source for GT40 windshields.

The molds are off of an original 66mk1 I forgot which number but I can ask. I am awaiting a call from F5 to give them my cc to have the windshield picked up. He also has an original GT40 windshield we can compare it to as well . Will advise

They picked up the windshield, they placed it on my spider, the fit from side to side was good. However as the whole windshield area is fiber glassed in I will not be able to fully confirm until I receive the body which will be 3-4 weeks from now.

Just got the body last week. Will try to cut out the excess fiberglass and fit it this weekend

So the answer is no, a Factory 5 GTM windshield will not fit a GT40 spyder. The bottom corners need to fall about 1/2” and height and width seem about 3/16 narrow all way around

It looks so close but no cigar. But it looks like it would work if someone was fabing a windshield frame for a build.
