F1 2008

I think that changes in aero (greatly reduced wings or none), wide slicks and a real shifter in place of the "video game" steering wheel would be fun! Gee, that sounds like returning to '70s cars with modern safety considerations...

I'm fine with aero and slicks and all that stuff.

The problem, IMO, is that the brakes are too good! Most passing is done under braking and when the braking zone is about 10 inches long you ain't gonna see much passing!

Cast iron brakes, no fancy assed pad materials.

Cheap, effective.

If they want to standardize anything, standardize the brakes!

Today is the day.
Any bets on what will happen ??
Will Alonso take Hamilton off ? He's got the right starting position
to do it, and makes no secret he would like to move to Italy.
Will Raikonnen finally do something more than what was asked of him?
If, in fact, he is capable of raising his game ! I doubt that one.
Will other drivers come in to play today by wrecking Hamiltons chances?
Possible.
Will it rain during the race? A very good chance but who deals in chances in F1 ? Probabilities are better.

All will be revealed this afternoon in Sao Paolo.

Hamilton will jink round a tardy starting Trulli, clip Alonso but get away from him, find the two Ferraris side by side into turn 2, and unavoidably terminally damage Massa, both out of race, Hamilton will be champion until the end of the race when the Stewards will judge and Massa ( Ferrari) are champions ??

"the Stewards will judge and Massa ( Ferrari) are champions ??" :furious:

Almost inevitable Frank. Even if the race is rained off ........

I kinduv agree with Frank, I think Hamilton will push too aggressively and cause an incident.

Don't forget - the percentages are probability - not chances out of 100% so a 40% prob would mean almost a raving certainty - like an 80 to 90% chance. If that is double dutch to you think of it another way - a 50% prob (which is never used in met) would mean it's already a certainty so the report would change to a simple statement - like it's raining.

And if it doesn't make any sense to you, too bad. By tonight I will be really pissed and by then I don't really care.

Bloody hell David! Give us a chance, I was just about halfway through decoding that.

Two minutes is far too short a time at my age and condition.:drunk:

As for a prediction, after much reflection and navel contemplation, I have decided to be extremely wise AFTER the event. This seems a popular choice as far as F1 is concerned, so I will go with the flow... :blank:

Timo Glock leave throttle at last turn.
Now I would like to see who still saying we italiani are the usual mafiosi eh?
A misterious problem at the end of race..this is unfair.
WE were able to loose with tyhe best car.

Vaff..... mc laren...:(

sorry guys..too sad and too angry here...:(:(

Hey Paulo, if you had the best car then Lewis's Championship is all the more impressive!
BTW if you had the best car then be happy you got the Constructors Championship.

Fantastic race! no fingernails left in our house. EXCELLENT result for Lewis.
Sadly the Brazillian fans booing Mr Hamilton, must make Massa ashamed. From the country that gave us the great Senna, that is really poor sportsmanship. It really took the shine of a great win by Massa.

You gotta wonder what Glock got for that one. If he had had a real problem don't you think they would have shown it over and over about a thousand times! And people wonder why the fans booed? Those people on the front straight saw it and voiced their opinion with their mouths. I'm surprised they weren't throwing seat cushions and bottles onto the track.

Complete F1 Bull Shit.....Again!
