Chet,

She's a beauty!

Those look like the same mirrors I used, are thy from Summit?

What motor is that?

I know what you mean about waiting, it was one of the hardest things I ever did!

ps Nice garage.

I would be lost without a lift. It makes every thing so much easier. The mirrors came on the car. I just think the fender is a poor mounting choice because of the vibration. The motor is a Roush 427R. Hopefully the title will be here next week and I can get it licensed!

Garage Lifts

...How do you like your lift - I am looking for one.

Mike -- I don't know if this alternative will interest you, but here's how I got a lift in my garage: A couple years ago I started looking at the $2-4K Chinese lifts, but based on a comment in an F-car forum called around until I found a guy that buys and sells used domestic ones. He said that a few years back when big SUVs flooded the market all the local shops had to swap out their (relatively) short, 7,000 lb lifts for taller and heavier ones. So I ended up with an old but professional-grade 7,000 lb, 8ft (I needed a short one) two-post lift installed in my garage for $1,300. The WL model shown on Western Hoist Inc. - Western Lift - National City, CA.

Tip: if you decide to get a two-post and to have the hydraulic lines and cables cross at the bottom (so you are not limited as to height) be sure to have them cut a groove to sink the lines into your garage floor. If not you'll curse yourself (as I do) every time you have to shove your vehicle over the ~1" bump in the floor.
