GT-R

Was just throwing things out to talk about while we wait. I'm sure the V6TT can easily put down 5-600hp in crate form (tuned), but not at the rpms that would be fun and not with the reliability of a true performance package. The crate form is also going to need bigger turbos and a lot better oiling system to live in a mid engine sports car.

Just trying to wake up a dead thread.

Dean, I'd still think the new Coyote based M-6007-A50SC* would be the way to go for you. It's the advantages of the Coyote with the strength of the former Aluminator. A perfect package for TT's. I just couldn't find a true apples to apples on weight vs. 13/14 GT500 but the TT is likely to have a higher ceiling and power/weight at the hassle of more R&D. Plus it is slightly smaller at deck height.

This GT-R sounds like an interesting car and it appears from this thread there are 7 or more cars on order, but we haven't even seen any pictures let alone the first car... If I remember, Dean and Sammy were going to make a bet who would get their car first, both ordering in late 2013 with Sammy's CAV being built over seas. Sammy's been driving his for about a month now. Clearly you RCR GT-R guys are very patient and hopefully it will be worth the wait..............................

I know that car illustration has been floating around with different liveries but I really don't like that at all. The scoop and the wing destroy that lines of the car. Hopefully they can do better than that.

It doesn't really make sense anyway because the wing style and the center fin are like the LMP rules, not GT class. I doubt they would plan to race the GT in LMP.

What is going on with the RCR GT-R. I can't find any info or pictures on this car.
Can anyone point me in a direction to find out more on this car.
Thanks John

Shoot Fran an email if you haven't already. He has resources he can send you including std build components, options, and prices.

Fran, what in the world is the white car behind the GT-R? It doesn't look like a Le Mans at all, but that's the only thing that comes to mind

Oh yes!!!!!!

Okay Fran..... What's up? Or did you already tell us in the "RCR Next car" thread and I missed it??

Randy,
we are repairing the original GT90 but no plans at all to recreate it.
Its interesting to have a look under the skin and see what the XJ220 chassis and suspension is all about , as that's the donor car for the GT90.

Interestingly I think that Pagani got a ton of his interior and detail ideas from this car as its preceded the Zonda by quite a few years and its almost a doppelganger.

Yikes, Did you really use a Jag XJ220 for a donor!?!

Only 275 of XJ220 were built in 1992 and the retail price was £470,000. If my calculation is correct, that's about £1.5m - 2.0m in today's money. The XJ220 was quite an exclusive car in its day.
