It's powerful Larry, not popular...

I realize that...and 'stand by what I said.

A "powerful" individual is one who is respected (feared?) by his peers...someone who the world knows will not hesitate to act when action is deemed necessary...someone who will not be pushed around...someone who tells it like it is and does what he says he's going to do.

So, like I said, I'm surprised Obama is even in the top ten.

I'm sure Al and Larry would trade their freedoms and our checks and balances system of power to allow the concentration of US power in a single biggest-dickus, nut swinging individual like Putin.

Right wingers here in the US have a secret fetish for that guy...he's a MAN. A narcissistic megalomanic, but damn he looks good with his shirt off, has guns and ain't afraid to kill people. Gives them a woody.

Thaaaaaaaaaaaaat's right, Mr. Young. You have it all figured out...in a CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, NBC, DNC, moveon.org, mediamatters, dailykos, Huffypost sort of way...

Putin seems to me to be a modern day "Nero", who was actually playing a lyre, not a fiddle, from 50 miles away while Rome burned.

What surprises me, Jeff, is that the right wing wants, as Larry says, someone who tells it like it is, does what he says, and takes courageous unilateral action when necessary...and yet when BO does just that (for example, killing the Keystone pipeline project) the right wing screams first and loudest.

That sounds like a double standard to me...but, perhaps it is just a splendid example of " Be careful what you wish for, you just might get it!!!"

Cheers!!!

You call that stunt "taking COURAGEOUS action"????????! Oh, it was "unilateral" alright...as MANY of his constitution-bashing exec actions have been...but, "courageous"? Hardly. S-T-U-P-I-D is a far more accurate word...like so many other decisions/actions - and NON actions - he's taken. He killed Keystone because doing so fit HIS OWN anti-fossil fuel, "greenie" agenda...NOT because it was in the best interests of the country. There was absolutely nothing "courageous" about it.

And as far as Obama being "someone who tells it like it is, (and) does what he says"...do I really need to recite once more the whole litany of examples that completely blow that statement to kingdom come???

Puleeeze...

Yes it does, it's amusing because Obama is behind Merkel and sad because the US president has always been #1 with the exception of Carter maybe. But that goes with how the world looks at and respects the US, not so much anymore.

What's sad is how obsessed you are with a "biggest dickus" list where America didn't finish first, and how you somehow mourn our impending doom as a result.

That's just stupid.

Plus, you have no clue on the methodology used on that list. Maybe it was based on shoe size. Or most farts in an hour. Or ability to eat pizza.

Here, maybe this will reinflate your American cockus:

Business Insider disagrees with Forbes and says we still have the biggest balls on the planet:

The most powerful people in the world - Business Insider

Here look! We were second in 2014!

Forbes Welcome

In fact, one of the reasons why PUtin is so high on the list is he has a ton of power at home, as a DICTATOR. Maybe you'd be cool with that so that we could "reclaim" no. 1?

And using that methodology -- size of population, etc. -- I doubt your anti-Carter fetish means anything other than YOU personally didn't like him.

It is incredibly sad that anyone would use that kind of list to make the assertions and statements that you are. Sad.
