Yes, the LHD cars have the tunnel offset to the right to allow a wider driver's seat, but even then, the sponson interferes with a dead pedal so a no-go.
Moving the pedal assembly is not as bad as some make it out to be. Move the "Dry Sump/ HVAC" unit (you don't need to disconnect the lines; there is slack to allow it to be moved to the side. Remove the crescent shaped panel and you can access the bolts that secure the pedal frame to the tub. An extension with a wobble socket helps. You "duck walk" the pedal frame over the floor reinforcement and reverse the procedure. I suggest wearing gloves as there are some screw ends and somewhat sharp edges (ask me how I know!).
