Hi all -
Had a busy couple of days working with Roy Smart installing a 427/Ricardo combo into a GTD40. It was a tad tight but Roy's meticulous measurements and planning ensured it slotted straight in.
Acutally, it's not as easy as it sounds as the motor is dry sumped and with the Ford GT Trans on the rear, not exactly short.
Does look like it will all fit in under the Mk1 body though and will be off to have headers/exhausts made in about a weeks time...
For anyone interested, it's an all alloy 351, stroked to 427, with uprated internals, twin-plate AP clutch, Accel Gen7 with wideband management.
Can't wait to hit that 'starter button'....
ps- Sorry for slightly rough pics, they were snapped in haste on my phone as I did not have my camera with me - but I thought some of you might like to see them anyway.
