I've been a Porsche Mechanic since 1968.
I'm retired now and only do engines and transaxles for local independent shops and one dealership. I have sold most of my inventory in the last five years and I rebuild before I advertise. Between 1976 and 1980 I bought four 935 boxes from Porsche Motorsports Racing Division for $9,200 each and a titanium spool hub for $6500.
These are the strongest transmissions made for a Porsche. I
use a similar box in my 1976 934 w/3.8 liter twin plug single
turbo and another in my 1976 930 with a small block Chevrolet.
These boxes are famous for taking huge horsepower and torque loads throughout 24 hour Grand Prix races.
I run 335X35X15 tires for a top speed of 185 MPH or 285X60X15 to get 210 MPH.
They are used in a mid engine car by running it upside down for correct wheel rotation. These are very rare transaxles. In the past four years I have only seen one on EBay that went for $8700 after a bidding war.
I will list my boxes for $6500 with no reserve and no core charge.
If you are near SoCal I will deliver it or you can pick it up.
If I ship it there is a $35 crating fee that I pay my local packers.
It's too heavy for UPS. Crated they weigh in at about 200 pounds.
Please let me know the application. I may be able to help.
