A new Lola in Texas

I'm joining the forum by recommendation of gt40fran of RCR replicas. I purchased a one off 67 Lola MkIIIB spyder Fran built 5 years ago as a commerative car to the can am series at the request of a fan in New Mexico. This was a complete build by Fran and his team..not a kit or roller. I tried to acquire a IIIB coupe...missed the deal by an hour. I know the car I have is not accurate to the period...there never was a IIIB spyder with this body configuration...but, it's the closest I'll get to driving a can-am car, which has been a lifelong dream. I'll be 60 in a year. I sent the car to Fran to freshen up and add final touches (canards, spoiler trim tabs, etc). It's on it's way here...I'll have it on the weekend. Dreams do come true...thanks to replica builders.

Here's the best shot I have until I can take more on the weekend.

Welcome to the forum. I have an RCR T70 too and while ours is street legal it has been developed over the last two years as a SCCA/NASA race car. In fact, if all goes we'll enter our first race event this weekend.

The car you've got looks great and I hope you enjoy it!
