A treat for australian forum members

There is a one hour documentary on the GT40 at 9.30p.m. on friday 26th on the History Channel (26) on Foxtel. I have seen the ads full of great film . DON'T MISS IT. Regards

Great lot of film and interviews but this U.S. produced film only covered up to the 1967 Le Mans victory. I was certain they performed well in 68 and 69 but that must have been when the car reverted to a British car!!!!!. The Ford Motor Company obviously contributed considerably to this documentary and are in the credits, so it appears after their withdrawal from racing in 1967 the GT40 became irrelevant. Regards

Hi
The yellow #2 MK-IV in that show is now owned by me. The video is availible from Ford or Amazon. As this show was produced by Ford they stopped as of 1967 as their official involvement ended then. The chassis plate in the MK-IV states "Manufactured By The Ford Motor Co. In Dearborn, Mich. USA" The MK-IV is the only "GT40" that they take sole credit for and thus remains the only car made in America to have won LeMans.

Yes This is the film, but for outside the U.S. I don't think the format works. A chap I know bought a porno film in the U.S. many years ago and when he got back to Australia all he got was the sound track. He's not been the same since. Regards

Is the tape on Amazon.com the same show
as the 60 minute segment shown on the History Channel in the US?
