Bon journo Paolo ,

Empannage looks like a C-172 !

When I first became an aircraft mechanic I worked with a guy whose father was a fighter pilot in WWII with the Italian Air Force. He flew an MC 202. Do you make a model of this type ?

Regards,
Scott

Buongiorno Scott,
the small aermacchi am3c is used a lot in SAAF, and its proudly made in italy:
Aermacchi AM.3 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Suspect this model was even committed by a third part down there (it is possible some museum..u know).I like a lot the shape, reminds to me the Fieseler Storch Fi-156, used over Gran Sasso raid to save Mussolini during second world war and driven by fool (and always too good;) ) Luftwaffe pilots, taking off and landing in an incredible place...high up in mountains:eek:

The Mc.202 was our finest, and probably nicest fighter during war.
As everything italian that mc.202 had a wonderful shape, a great angine...and simply a too light armament (we were miles and miles away from american aircraft technology..u know)

The macchi mc202 was one of my nicest model, sold immediately to alfa romeo cause featuring the italian copy of the DB-601 (named alfa RA-1000).
Unfortunately still no pics of it.

Paolo,

Do you have an Aviation background?

I see my friend whose father I told you about, every so often. Next time I see him I will ask for pictures of his 202. I will see if can post them here for you.

Scott
