Anyone in Northern California mind showing off their baby?

Hi all,

I've been lurking here for a couple weeks, and finally registered last night.

While I can't jump into building a kit in the near future, I'd kind of like to take a look at what's out there, in the flesh so to speak.

I commute weekly from East of Sac to the SF penninsula, and wonder if any of you in the area would mind my visiting your car.

Regards,
Scott

Gee I commute from Sac to Oakland!

Sorry, don't have one yet, but I hope to
real soon.

One of these days I have to take Bud Jones
up on his offer to come down to Livermore
and see his GTD. I also ran into a guy in
Davis yesterday who helped a friend build
one - not sure if it's still around.

There's a few in the Bay area, and some
owners are members here.

Hi Scott,

I've just taken delivery of my DRB GT-40 last week. I live just south of Santa Rosa and you are welcome to see the kit in it's scattered state (really fills up a garage!).

Give me an e-mail either through the forum or at work at [email protected]

For anyone interested in picture of the delivery, I can e-mail them, but can not post them to the forum.

Come on by, my car is just about done. Send me a e-mail and I'll give you the address, in San Ramon, east bay near Livermore, etc.

Thank you for all for the offers. I've sent off PM's with my contact information.

What is with the Hwy 580/680 thing? Three of you must live within 10 or so miles of each other.

Ian - do you commute daily, or do you stay in Oakland during the week ?

Scott,
Sounds like a few of us might get together on saturday, april 19th. It would be a good time to check out a few cars. Check out the new owner thread.

Hi everybody, this is my first post here. I live about 45 minutes East of Sacramento. I'm not at an age where I can even consider owning a GT40, (I'm 17), but I thought it would be cool to come to this place and talk about GT40's with fellow enthusiasts.

If any of you guys ever take your car to a local show, be sure to post here, I'd love to see it. I think it's cool that so many people on this board are from Northern California.

I wish I could come this weekend, but I'm just too busy. I'm helping my Grandmother and my aunt move into a new house, and my parents have work that I am required to do for them. Maybe next time...

As for owning a GT-40, I look forward to that time with great enthusiasm. I honestly think that the GT-40 is the most beautiful car on the face of the Earth.
