Anyone know what this is used for? I am looking for a digital mockup program to try different paintjobs

Those are 3D models which can be used in programs like Blender or Fusion 360...there are quite a few to choose from, a couple free, most not. If you have no experience with 3D modeling I wouldn't use these. Model rendering and texturing is not easy to pick up on a whim. Your best bet would be to trace the views you want in a free paint program like Krita and use that to try on paint schemes you want.

I tried the free model out, but it was full of holes, flipped normals, and other problems when I imported it. May have just been my program, but I gave up on using it pretty quick.

Ahh okay thank you. I'm still on the lookout, then, for a rendering program that will realistically project different paint schemes onto an SL-C body (r at least a generic Group C car. Probably tough to find but it doesnt hurt to broadcast out anyway

Reach out to these guys and ask them to do a Superlite SLC - maybe offer to buy the 3D model for them.

Google Play has a car color changer app, but I don't think it allows you to upload your own image/car.

If you have Photoshop, or any other image editing app, you can change the color to visualize your car. Here's a video on how to do this in Photoshop. There are free apps out there like GIMP that you can do the same thing.

Attached are a couple of images to start with.

The Color Splash App is another option (available on Android and iOS) which allows you to upload an image (see the attached) and change the color of an object in your image. It's not specific to changing the color of a car, but can be used for a car, or anything.

There's also the Car Concepts AI tool designed to apply a wrap to an image you upload, but essentially it's just changing the color of the car, regardless of whether it's a wrap or paint. Worth a try.

Post your results or the options so we can all vote on what color you should paint your car. :)
