APS Racing EFI - anybody used this system?

The Southern California location should give you a clue, It's Pro Comp Electronics, Chinese of course.
Saw the kit at last years PRI, the manifold is a knock off of a Pierce and to be fair looks OK.( sort of ) But the rest, Oh Dear !

Stick with IDFs Cliff. One of my Cobra buddies has the TWM setup and has spent a ton of money dialing it in. He's still not happy with overall performance. IMO not worth the $$$. But then, with your F-car pension, you are a glutton for punishment!

would be interesting to know what problems he has in detail....the mechanical work looks nice, so it must be something with the ECU and injectors...?

Carlos,
the system from APS is NOT TWM, its a Chinese copy, if you want to look at the TWM stuff go to www.twminduction.com. No comparison in quality, the TWM is the best.
Or for the total Weber 48 IDA look go to www.eightstack.com.

We can supply both as a COMPLETE kit with everything done with NO problems. If you are interested, drop me a PM.

Not so much the TWM product quality but lack of a good map for the engine specifications. I don't doubt you can get a stack system dialed in, it's just about finding someone with the knowledge to tune it or peak and poke until you get an optimized map. Drivability through the idle to part throttle transition has been problematic and mid-range off throttle transitions. WOT was not an issue. He spent half a day on the chassis dyno with someone that knew how to tune this setup and got there. I'm sure the ECUs will get better at auto-tuning given time.

IMO not worth the $$ for the look. That being said I run Weber IDAs on the street. They are somewhat digital, on / off!

I sold TWM and had a setup on a 496" 427SO. It's pretty easy to adjust and tune, provided you have someone on the computer that has a clue what he is doing. The initial/computer dyno run is usually around $500, if you have someone that doesn't know what he's doing you might as well burn the money to keep warm. The EFI computer companies such as FAST will turn you on to a knowledgeable tuner in your area. After tuning, the units are pretty trouble free and outperform carburation.
