As Seen On E Bay

That's Randy Treadwell's old T-3 Demo.
I was wondering where it ended up.
It will be sitting in that showroom for
a LONG time if the price is what I heard!

It will be interesting to see how high the Safir gets bid. I doubt it will get above
$ 100k on E-bay. Not the right forum to sell
that car. They should try someone like
Barrett-Jackson.

All American has also posted this elsewhere with the owners's comment 'never raced' - for what series would a Safir with an 8 litre approx engine be eligible ? perhaps that one in the UK that Trevior Taylor and GTA (I think) compete in - but what else ? or is this all just another late 80's competitor to the Jaguar XJ220 in terms of cost vs desirability - as I write its only USD 200000 below reserve ! for USD 40000 I'd be tempted !

The owner never replied to confirm the spec but the second bidder has just paid EUR 300000 for it whatever it was !

Don't know what the T3's asking price is, but I'd be willing to bet that those are George Cochran's headers. The 351 and Porsche transaxle would be the best part of this kit I think. The only question I have is that it is a 4 speed. Me thinks this might be a 915 rather than a G50/52 that was in later turbos.

They can't be George's headers. The give away is that thay are complete, and to further drive the point home is the fact that they seem to fit.

Yep, no way in hell they're Georges, got the complete canister and all on them - don't look anything like what I got from George.

Lynn,

You are right about the engine and gear being the only salvageable part of this
"whatever it is". A purple engine and gearbox? This guy was blind as well as color blind!
I guess that this proves the adage "Ugly does go all the way to the bone!".
