I did two and a half laps of the Targa Florio course last year in a Fiat rental car. The road is largely unchanged from what you see in that video, apart from the addition of a center line, and guardrails around most corners.
Although I certainly never attained Redmonesque velocities, the utter lack of traffic allowed for some highly 'spirited' motoring. I created a detailed (and rather long) writeup of that adventure for the De Tomaso e-mail forum, and if you have a few minutes to kill, you can view it here:

If you ever happen to find yourself in Sicily, a drive around this legendary circuit is an absolute must!
