Hi Leon, beautiful work on your CAV, a ton of work there but you already know that!
The A/C works very well on the CAV GTs by the way. Just a heads up... pay close attention to the belt paths and a/c compressor mounting in relationship to pulley offset to crank pulley. Should be no offset measuring from the center of the v-belt grooves.
Also make sure the a/c pulley is true in-line with the crank pulley. If it's on an angle you will have trouble with belt squeal, a/c pump clutch life, cracking of mounting ears of the a/c pump body and dramatically reduced life of water pump bearings and seals. The same guidelines go for the alternator mounts and its' alignment.
Small block Fords have many variables in timing covers, water pumps, pulleys, crankshaft dampers and cylinder heads that will upset a perfectly made set of brackets designed around a different combination of (or all stock OEM) parts than on your engine. Something to check if you haven't already.
Cheers
Ian
