Dyno Experience for DRB#42

As I work through the tuning of my engine, I decided to try the only Dyno in this corner of the world. These guys were good and worked out a few of the programming and timing kinks. We then did a partial pull to 4800 rpm (I only have 500 miles on the engine and decided not to run it up too high yet!). The engine was still pulling like mad and delivered 320 hp and 345 ft-lbs at the rear wheel at 4800. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif Will likely go over 400 @ 6000. Sure sounds terrific.
Still a little more refining of the fuel/map curves for cruise speeds and it will be good to go.
Getting closer to a full fledged happy /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif camper.

Colin, you are in for some serious fun with a setup like that - WOW !

So far, I have found that Dyno runs are a bitter-sweet experience - thrilled at the performance & sound, terrified of something going "bang" !

If you've got things mapped in up to 4800 without incident, then all must be well, so you must already be a happy camper ! The rest will be just icing on the cake !!

Kind Regards,

Peter D.
