Very hairy podium. They should spend some of their filthy lucre on a bit of grooming - they looked like a bunch of retards at a soup kitchen. That 'look' went out with Phil Collins and it wasn't a good look then either....

Last time I saw Phil he didn't have much hair at all.

Not that I would want to side with Christain Horner but...
Back in the day, McLaren (sp) used to have a rule that if there were a set number of laps left in the race and their two drivers were jousting heavily with each other, then they were told to hold station and that was how they would finish.
This isn't quite as bad as what has gone on before with Ferrari, but it's still a bit whiffy....

Yes but these things were worked out and agreed in advance with the consent of both drivers, not coded messages in the heat of the moment. Almost like "whoever leads into the first corner" etc.
Everyone is fearful of a Prost/Senna Senna/Prost deal. Vettel could afford to take Webber out whenever he pleased now....Not that he would of course!

One of the things Piquet Snr absolutely hated was Frank's refusal to give any orders to Mansell, and quite often than not, Mansell thrashed him as a result. It all led to better racing and we know that Frank is a born racer at heart, even though he was no good at it, a bit like Enzo, which is quite ironic as there is no doubt that Enzo was aiming squarely at Frank with the "Garagista" jibe...
To me, they had almost exactly the same background. Frank used Cooper, EF used Alfa.
Anyway, at the risk of upsetting F fans, all these shenanigans were invented by Ferrari back in the JMB days and before. If something incurred EF's displeasure, he would throw his toys out of the garage until the organisers changed the rules to suit him.
However, they did sack Prost, and that makes them OK (ish) in my book.
And I don't think things have changed. There is no doubt that the net winner of the rules bollocks was (is) Ferrari. They have kept far too quiet for it to be otherwise!

I don't doubt that Webber could have taken Vettel at all. In fact he had him on the old main straight out of the complex, and then backed out of the throttle when he already had the racing line. Wanted to keep his job I guess. Also agree with you that these things were worked out before the race rather than at a point where Mattesich (sp?) whispers sweet nothings into Horner's ear...
And yes, I do agree that Ferrari have been the big net winners in this blown diffuser debacle.

I agree with both of you, if Ferrari hadn't gained much you would hear the wails of anguish from where I sit in Brisbane. All good from my point of view.
Makes for more interesting racing. Mark nicely avoided the question after the race, I'd say he is now on RBR's payroll for next year.
Q: Mark, you lost the start to Sebastian but what happened at the end? You seemed to be closing on him, but you couldn't get past him.
Mark Webber: Well it was a mixed race as the guys touched on. It was very, very slippery and tricky at the start with the inters. Half the track dry and half the track wet. It made it very frustrating as all of us had to stay out on the inters for longer than we would have liked as we had to wait for slicks to come into play at that part of the track. Michael (Schumacher) pitted first then we waited to hear on his pace on the slicks. Then, when he started to go okay we elected to stop. Just before, on the in-lap, I had a massive moment in Becketts so Fernando closed a bit on me. I went across the grass as I came in so bit scrappy there. Then we had an interesting race after that. I felt very strong at the start of the stints, not too strong at the end of the stints, and then both Seb and I were in big trouble with the tyres at the end. I tried to pass him but not quite so that was the race.

Robert Kubica I don't know how recent these photos are but the injury doesn't look like he will be returning to F1 any time soon. :sad:
