The mention of a f1 race in Singapore apparently pushed hotel shares on the SGX up by 15%. I guess there was a degree of profit taking as they are now back where they were previously. Little Bernie (with the tall wife) has denied any talks have been held. It might all have been a clever exercise by the 'movers and shakers' over a pimms in the Long Bar in Raffles.....

Austrian Gerhard Berger, team co-owner of Toro Rosso has denied he is selling out to Schumacher and said he knew nothing about it and that nobody has spoken to him - according to the Small Zeitung Newspaper. He did, however, go on to say "But you should also ask co-owner Didi Mateschitz."[owner of Red Bull and the A1 ring][ and probably most of Austria by now]

How the tyres will be used:

Tyre usage will be as follows:

TOTAL
No more than:
  • 14 sets dry tyres per driver (7 of each spec)
  • 5 sets wet tyres per driver
  • 4 sets extreme tyres per driver
P1 + P2
  • 8 sets dry tyres per team (4 of each spec),
  • all to be returned after P2.
  • Only 1 set of wet and 1 set of extreme permitted per driver, which must be returned if used.
P3
  • 10 sets of dry tyres per driver (5 of each spec),
  • 2 sets to be returned after P3 (1 of each spec).
  • 4 sets of wet and 3 sets of extreme allocated per driver. Unused tyres from P1/P2 can form part of this allocation.
Qualifying
+ Race
  • 8 sets of dry tyres per driver available (4 of each spec).
  • At least 1 set of each dry spec must be used by the driver in the race, unless wet or extreme tyres are used.
The different tyre specifications must be visually distinguishable from one another when on track.

As clear as mud.......

New innovation reported now to have been fitted : 'Medical Warning Light'.
The light is probably coupled to 'G' switch and illuminates following an impact of sufficient magnitude which will warn doctors and marshals of the possible severe injuries. "The driver must present himself to the medical centre for checks". Sort of a eupmemistic add on there......
Ecclestone has met intersted parties in Singapore en route to Melborne
to discuss racing there but no agreement as yet. Shares in Hotel Properties have increased by 50% according to Autosport.
"BUY BUY !"
Ferrari wanted Alonso according to Ross Brawn. Jean Todt seems to favour Scandinavians.
Drivers that is.
Melbourne may become a night race , and Silverstone may go BACK-TO- BACK with that s--t hole Magny Curse.
I wonder what Eclestones carbon footprint is ?

Arrogance must be genetic !!
:yuck:Schumacher,Ralf, has rated himself amongst the current top three drivers in F1. :dead:

How nice for him. He must be on medication or smoking funny cigarettes.

...couldn`t find "toss pot" in my dictionary but I guess it means something derogatory.

And worst of all (given he really said that)... you are right!

What have Massa, Raikonnen, Hamilton,Fisi,Heidfeld, Wurz, Alonso,Rosberg, Kubica, Coulthard, Davidson, Trulli Sato Button and Barichello all got in common?

In that order, they were the fastest in Melbourne today.
Schumacher was next....................

And Button is behind Sato!

There'll be some corporate self mutilation going on in Honda's head office at this rate....

Seppuku in Bernie's paddock. Stranger things happen. Apparently one Bridgestone guy has already had a go with the dagger in the Tokyo office but I think it pre dated this statement.
Sato was quite brilliant really.
The ITV prat kept going on about Hamilton - I think it was about four times he said "Surely a rookee cannot go quicker than the world champion"
Hamilton didn't.

Breaking News:
Is the Ferrari F2007 Is Illegal?

A F1™ website is reporting that there are allegations of the 2007 Ferrari floor being 'outside the rules'.

If the floor pan of the car has been designed to 'flex' possibly causing a ground effect, venturi type design, it will allow the car to stick to the road with less amount of wing dialled in, thus increasing the top speed of the car in a straight line.

Sounds to me like "sour grapes" because nobody else thought about it first.
