Bernie announced in a pre race interview that next year he wanted the Australian Grand Prix run at night. Reason? It's better for European T.V. coverage (read more $$$ for Bernie). I wonder what the drivers think of that idea, 300+ KPH at night around a tricky circuit.
Also who is going to front the money to flood light the track? Not B.E. I bet.

Pete......

In your picture sequence, I see you captured pictures #3 & #4 and presented them in the "before" format.

Speaking for me and maybe others, would you have any after pictures
of the same????? Hubba Hubba.:pepper: Ya never know, it may change the title of this thread from "F1 is boring me to death" to "F1 is not all 100% boring!"

That was my sense of humour!

It's a little, er, shall we say, tangential....

I'll go and lie down now and have my nap.

Gary the girls were amateurs that got full of ink and jumped on the piano to dance. That tradition started last year and the pole was added this year:pepper: . But due to a strong police presence none of them got their gear off. Indy on the Gold Coast in October is the place for that;)

So F1 is still boring.

Keith I once had a Tangential but the wheels fell off it.:p:

Singapore: The organiser Tan Teng Lip, president of the Singapore Motor Sports Association is expecting to announce, by 30th March, details of a night race around downtown Singapore and inclusion in future F1 calendars.
Brilliant if it happens.
BEST RESTAURANT: Fatties on Bugis St
BEST UPMARKET BAR: The Long Bar in Raffles
BEST LOWLIFE BAR: Everywhere

Silverstone's BRDC are attempting to involve governement funding to counter the threat of back- to-back Gps with Magny Curse. They are about to reveal mega plans that include building two hotels, 300 houses and a science park on the surrounding land it owns.
I wonder what the encumbent residents of the village will say about that?
It probably doubles the size - no mention of doubling the schooling and other amenities. Before long there will be a Waitrose 24h, Marks and Spencer, and car parks up the ying yang. Probably a good time to sell and move out.

Any comments Lee?

Re: F1 is not really that boring....

Heikki Kovaleinen - referring to his debrief with Flav after his disastrous formula one debut in Melbourne last Sunday: "There was little praise".

I'm sure there were plenty of expletives in use.

A classic British understatement! :D

Heikki has spent far too much time in the UK obviously......

I have heard rumours but not seen any plans. Can you send me a copy? I know a number of people who would like to see them!
Thanks

Hi Lee,
The BRDC headquarters is easier for you to access, living up there.
Its in the centre of the circuit , cross over the first bridge and just keep right.
Failing which their contacts are as follows:Tel.850920 Fax. 850930
and email is [email protected] .
Carol Jeffs is the office walla - [email protected]
Before any proposal such as this, I think BRDC members will be balloted and a few guys that I know would like say to Bernie " Which words don't you understand - Off or F--k"

New Delhi and Qatar are both vying for F1 races and little Bernie has apparently said Paris should have one.
I think they are all playing with their ding-a-lings.
