Flare comparison

Can anyone help me to visualize the difference between the standard MkI and the MkI with 2" flares. I understand how the rear wheel area is enlarged, but I am having trouble trying to identify if a car has the flares or not.

Is there something to help easily identify if the flares have been added? If the photo has the rear shell up and your looking at it from the rear, or if you're looking straight at the vehicle, its pretty easy to see. But if the shot is a 3/4 side shot . . . hard to tell.

Is there a trick to it or some identifying mark/feature that I'm missing?

Paul,
There was a recent post showing detail photo's of the rear flares. I searched and found this one but not the one I was thinking of. the Blue car in this post shows a Red car at the end that you can see clearly it has a extended flair.
