Front Clip Adjustment

Noticed some rubbing at the male 90 degree right angle portion of drivers side front clip where it intersects with the door, and corresponding rubbing on the female 90 degree angle on the door. Have attempted numerous repostioning of the clip and different settings on the larch but generally speaking, door scrapes the clip eveythime it opens.

Thoughts?

Beside repositioning the 'hinge rollers' at the front you can try different washer thickness between the roller and the frame bar. I couldn't totally eliminate all rubbing at the door edge. Finally ground a little of the inside edge of the door at that angle.

Don't know if you've tried these ideas, but they may help. Adjust the Hartwell fastener so it doesn't pull the nose down as far. May be necessary to place washers, etc. near the fastener to maintain adequate tension so it doesn't pop open accidentally. Or tape pieces of closed cell foam to the inside edge of the nose where it contacts the lower windshield. The idea being to shift the fiberglass away from the contacting area of the door.
