I am looking in the very near future to add a GT40 to my stable. I currently own a Lamborghini Diablo Monterey Edition SV #5 and a Callaway CR1 Aerobody Supernatural 490 #10. I am currently looking at a red 05 with less than 2k on the clock with strips. I would appreciate it you experts could provide some guidance on what I should be asking and looking for.
A) Was 05 a good year?
B) Where there any particular option that I should be looking for?
C) Is there a value placed on one color vs another?
D) Where there any issues more in some years than other?

Welcome Ben, I think you have the Ford GT and the GT40 a little confused. There are some owners of the Ford GT here and I would like to have one next to my GT40 someday.

One other thing, Jonesboro Arkansas has the largest dealer for the GTs that I know of.

Thanks for the clarification yes I am was refering to the GT supercar.

Hi Ben

The only comment I can recall was that the new GT had a better resale and acceptance value if it was a straight colour without the body stripe.

The sill stripe was not a concern.
