I was wondering if you could give me some tips/hints/url's to help me with my US History project. I need help finding primary or secondary sources about the GT40. My porject is on how the GT40 symbolized America's upbringing as a major world power (even though I realize some parts of the GT40 were created by Shelby in Britain), and the determination and competitiveness of America, as well as how Ford got to the GT40 (including early 20th century car history). I have been researching the GT40 all over the place, including libraries but I cannot find sufficient information. I know about Le Mans (66-69) and how the GT40 ran train on Enzo's Ferrari, as well as some of its other wins. I am also aware of its various models (Mark I-IV) [but need more information on these carious models]. If you could help me, it could save my history grade and this is something that I am very interested in (I have a facination with supercars, and by all means the GT40 was an incredible supercar) and want to learn more about.
