'Ignorant question...

I've "searched" this every way I can think of and couldn't find any threads/posts addressing it:

Has anyone ever put an all alum (or iron block for that matter) 572 BBC in an SL-C? If so, what was the final result as far as handling, getting the power to the ground, braking, etc., etc.? What was used for a transaxle? IOW, what would hold up? RCR's new unit, maybe? What horrors were faced as far as fitment within the rails, exhaust routing, a/c compressor placement, blah, blah?

Thanks in advance for any enlightenment.

We have a guy in Canada doing just that , he is a big time drag racer...alum. BB

Intake manifold/carb height will be the biggest issue....

The Graziano will hold the power and torque.

Every accessory/ancilliary item will need to be different than used on the LS series cars but its all pretty standard stuff and only a JEGS/Summit call away.

Obviously the set up for the chassis/suspension can be adjusted to give you whatever handling characteristic you want ,every suspension item is adjustable

Horrors...stepping off the well walked path will always create unique situations but they are not problems per se. they are just different from the norm.

Thanks for the info, Fran.

How far along with the build is this Canadian customer? 'Any idea?

(I wish he were in B.C. But, Murphy likely guarantees he isn't.)
