Back to the car.
My suspension is going out for cadmium plating so those expensive Shafer aircraft bearings need to come out without damage.
I made these aluminium extractor cups in an exact fit with the cages to remove them safely.
There are plenty of similar garage kits on sale out there but none fit accurately to protect the seals.

I had a great couple of days down at Alistair's home and we fitted my fuel tanks and a lot of other stuff today.
The tanks are 3mm alloy plate with all the sparges and baffles in the original format. Internals are foamed and the grey tape is thick UHMW low friction polymer.
Had to take a smidgeon off the chassis entry corner to free the up the butt welds otherwise a great fit to the sponson stiffeners.
Cheers Alistair !!

Gooorgeous, James looks like the manifold flanges are counter-bored for matching rings as you did with mine?

Thanks Dave,
Yes mate, they are counterbored to fit the Webers just like the Holman Moody manifold I did for your Jenvey system.
There is also some mild porting done on these to clean them up.

Glad to see your EFI system is working well - a great achievement.
ps. I have found the HM receipt for your manifold so I will send it you for your records when time allows.

Thanks James, much appreciated. After some minor work and a new, high torque starter motor, I test started last weekend, seems ok and no hunting. This weekend I will balance throttles and go on from there.

Wow James, if you have got to the stage of the mirrors you must be close to the first drive.

i am sure that there are many, me included that would love to see that happen.
