Le Mans 2014 / Racemet

Audi have just confirmed Racemet for the 2014 24h du Le Mans race.
This involves the test day as well so maybe a repeat beer session in Arnage ?

This is Fifteen successive years with the Audi Joest Works team - the most successful team ever at the 24 h du Le Mans.
Remember next year is a double with the Le Mans Classic as well.
Everybody has plans and mine is to take my GTD40 to the Classic.

Look forward to repeating the exercise in Arnage again. Hopefully without the rain. The test weekend is probably more relaxed for me as I have a bit more time. Look forward to either going in your GT40, or making a convoy into Arnage.

Indeed Ian. We will know nearer the time.
Could I suggest the practise/qualifying weekend as Stephen is alluding to.
This year we had a colossal rainstorm which meant being locked in a bar in Arnage for nearly all of the afternoon. If you feel like it, I'll drive down with the equipment and for the return , you can bring one of the cars down as well and - AND - we can pick up some wine on the return. The hotel opposite the Super U is only a short walk from Arnage.

Is Sunday 1st June confirmed as the test day ? If so I will be at the usual site from the previous Thursday late afternoon.

Anyone else planning on going to either the test or the 24hr in 2014 ?

Looks like the test day is the 1st June 2014, from what I can find on the web. The official ACO site (lemans.org) still seems to be in 2013 mode. The site I use to inscribe as a marshall for the meetings at Le Mans, normally doesn't come on line until either Jan or Feb.

One of the many reasons I love France. You'd hate anything to be done in a rush wouldn't you, or seem to have any semblence of organisation about it !!
