Very nice Allan. The is just no end to the top level cars that you keep producing. Beautiful build, as always. I'm sure that the owner is yet another happy customer!

Also, I have to ask... Is that a solar array in the background of the second picture? If so, how much does a grid that size offset your power needs? I'm considering the same type of set up but have not been able to get any real numbers.

Haven't seen a Le Mans for a while - beautiful work, as always.
Did they always have the street tail? Looks to have very good venting.
Those A-pillars didn't stand-out to me before - I'm not a fan.
Is the lack of front light covers custom for this car?

The lack of front end covers kind of make it look unfinished. The A pillars are ok. I imagine there will be a A-pillar version 2.0 coming along if theres enough orders for the Le Mans.

I love the rear vent work on the clam shell. Is that stock, or is that modified? Also, does anyone know if theres a roll cage that would go a couple inches higher than the clamshell on this? Really dumb question, but, does the car come with A/C? I'd love to hear how wind management is on the Le Mans. Does the air go all the way over the passenger compartment? Buffeting?

STUNNING WORK AS ALWAYS, ALLAN!!!

It's a good thing I have a Drool Deflector (condom) on my iPad....

That looks really nice... I've been a Lemans fan since Fran first talked about it....

Allan,

Your latest project looks great!

I also decided not to use the headlight covers and smooth out the front clam.

I think it makes the front appear more rounded and is reminiscent of a Pagani front end.

Thanks everyone. I went for longer drive today and it was a lot of fun. The wind just hits the top of my head but it's still a good idea to where goggles. The roll bar double hoop is about 4 inches above my head. I made the pillar covers because the dash will also be used in a coupe version that has the cut outs. In just the Le Mans version you wouldn't make the cut outs.
Tail is the stock one for the Le Mans with cut outs left to the builder's design. Yes it has ac and heat. Lack of covers on the lights was a request from the owner.

Michael,
In my house in California (close to Howards) I had a roughly 4Kw solar installation. It generated on average 30 kwh of energy per day. My electricity bill was $500/month, with the pool, AC, and a 150g aquarium which pumped lots of water all the time. The solar install cut my bill in half....easily the best investment I have ever made. At that time (2006-ish) the investment was 28K. That 28K saved $250 x 12 = $2,550 per year, nearly a 10% return on investment.

I would do it again in a heartbeat.

These were 180 watt panels. I believe they are considerably more efficient now, and even cost less.

Thanks for the great info. Lastly, (for reference), how tall are you?

Thanks again. Beautiful, beautiful car!!!
