Right now I like nothing better than working on and driving the 40. I'd like to put 100k on tbe car but if I had the money I'd ship it across the pond and spend a season going to all the great events and races. Not that I've been to that many here they just seem to approach it differently.
I recently went to help a friend work on his GT40, drove my 40 about an hour in the rain the last five or so miles was on unpaved mountain roads. Enjoyed every mile. It is in the end a car that is ment to be driven.
I did put some insulation inside on the side closest to the muffler. Granted my average temp for the trip was just about freezing but in LA where it was around 70 the inside of the box seemed around room temp.
