Really nice progress David. That diffuser is a work of art.
With regard to the Mesa mod vs. stock config a few observations…
Mesa Mod
1)Enables the doors to open to a near vertical position
2)Gas strut is more easily accessible
3)Strut is visible on the door jamb
4)Sizable hole needs to be cut in door to accommodate movement of strut
Stock
1)Doors open far less than Mesa Mod
2)Some builders have modified the stock hinges to open more(Ken and Johan)
3)Gas strut harder to get to and service
4)No gas strut on the door jamb, cleaner look
