Are you thinking of the MK-IV Shell cutaway?

I have a cut-away poster by James Allington of a Mk IV on my wall. A quick search of google turned up someone selling it for $50. They say it's original, but it's probably a repoduction like mine.

Holman Moody had a cut away of a MKII for sale on their web site years ago, just checked it and the site has been updated and could not find the print. Sorry cant post a picture.

I have one of those posters. They are real because I got mine directly from James Allington. I think he did a cutaway for Holman and Moody of their MKII.

So, out of curiosity, I called Holman Moody and asked them. They are out of them. They say the artist just sold his estate through Christies and moved to France and they are trying to find him. He has some 400 of these in his possession and they want to get them. He is sending me a large scan of it anyway.

Lee is a nice guy and I asked him how much for their GT40 - $750,000 is the asking price, but they will take offers. He then talked about their 1964 Ford Fairlane that kicks butt...has the same engine and within a coupld hunders lbs of the GT40. He went on to say that it qualified pole at some Nurburgring race and came in second overall in a race at Spa behind a Porche...

I don't know ... Fairlane or GT40....GT40 or Fairlane....that's a tough decision...

The stealth aspect of the Fairlane might be fun. That's why I like the Lotus Cortina. It looks like a 40 year-old econo-box.

MKII Holman and Moody MKII poster

Mike if you find any of these posters could you let me know. James Allington was one of my all time hero cutaway artists. I met him before he retired and it was good to see the amount of work he had completed. I remember he was a Bugatti enthusiast and had a pair of wrought iron gates fabricated with the Bugattis badge. He also had the 1960 Lemans winning Ferrari Tessarossa.
