MkIII question

Hello to all.

Joined forum to seek information about what might have been a yellow MkIII seen back around 1965. Saw it once as it passed me going the other way (east) on IH30 east of Dallas near the Broadway intersection. Recall it being bright yellow with black stripes and showroom shiny. Only vaguely knew what it was but proportions seemed strange. Later I learned about MkIII cars and it might have been one of those.

Asked friends in Dallas about it at the time and nobody knew much. Couple folks said it might have had something to do with Neiman-Marcus.

Anyone have a clue about this car?

Thanks for reading.

Rick, could be what you say. I graduated high school in June 1967 and remember it being winter so perhaps it could be either.

One of those times a car stood out like an alien spaceship.

Rick, my memory says it was more like 1965-66 than 1967 so that agrees with you about being a Street Coupe. Only time I ever saw a GT40 around Dallas until 2004/5.
