Moving the AC compressor

I am installing a vintage race pan, similar to the Aviaid pan and notice that the compressor hits the pan. Is there another bracket to move the compressor over or to the opposite side? Thanks

Mike...

you will also need all new custom AC lines...not a small task as the centre tunnel routing is pretty tight once the car is fully built...

Its much easier to notch the pan a little and leave the AC where it is currently..

seems my fabricator found another route. Move the compressor forward on the and run the belt on the inside pulley groove, that will move it out just enough, the half inch needed to clear the pan.

The pan is a circa '63 pan from Shelby American I have had in my collection for some time. Cutting it is not a good option.

In that the Hot-Rod-Air mount that came with my compressor put the compressor into conflict with the lower radiator hose outlet on the water pump - I made a different AC Compressor mount to raise it up. I did test fit the lines and they appear to be long enough. You can look on my build site (in my signature below) for more information.
