New CVs for an 016...

Just wondering if anyone knows where to source some replacement CV axles for my 016 in my gt40? The axles in my car are "GLO" axles (South Africa) and cross ref to audi 5000 (not surprising). I'd like to use Lobros if possible. Audi aftermarket parts shops seem to sell "Empi" axles....which are Chinese made, and I'd like to avoid these. The local Audi dealer doesn't stock OEM anymore due to age.

Any help is much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

ps. of course, what I really need to do is put a G50 or ZF in there, and I will do that at some point down the road.

I make much of my own stuff for axles and such, and if you look at the pieces that I posted a pic of, you will see that I don't tend to mess around when it comes to strength or cost. That said, you may want to reconsider the Empi stuff. I recommend their 4340 axles in street builds below 500 HP with a G50 because the axles will be "the weakest link" and you won't tear up your other, more expensive, parts. If you really want 300M axles and don't mind paying for them, then Tatum Motorsports has a nice selection. They are just a bit pricey, like on the order of Summers Brothers or Mark Williams. Don't know what the power requirements are of what you are using, but at about 1/4 to 1/3 the cost of 300M stuff, the Empis usually make sense....for a moderate street build.
